Discussion and Action Items 16-1005 Deliberation on the 2017 Mayor's Executive Budget Attachments: 2017 Executive Budget Binder Baird analysis compare both levels of debt repayment PAYGO PLAN November 2015 Tax Levy Change Budget Worksheet 2017.1 WC ADJ 2017 CAWG REQUESTS RANKING 2017 CAWG LIST BY ACCOUNT PAYGO ITEMS Moved by McMeans, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that this Action Item be accepted to remove $30,000 from the 2017 Mayor's proposed budget for borrowing for the Quite Zone study. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- McMeans, Sitkiewitz, Able, Kummer and Czekala Moved by McMeans, seconded by Czekala, that this Action Item be accepted to remove $180,000 from the 2017 Mayor's proposed budget for borrowing for the Phone System. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- McMeans, Sitkiewitz, Able, Kummer and Czekala Moved by Kummer, seconded by Able, that this Action Item be accepted to remove $10,000 from the 2017 Mayor's proposed budget for borrowing for the Silver Creek Sled Hill Trolly and recommend the Room Tax Commission take it from the Room Tax Fund. Other items discussed are as follows: Brad Vieget from RW Baird spoke to the committee about the borrowing structure for the next 5 years as proposed by the Mayor. Action items: The committee would like information about the current entertainment stage owned by the city regarding revenue and usage. A suggestion was made to look for sponsorship in regards to the purchase of a new stage. The committee would like clarification on the room tax fund balance as to the relationship of the newly formed Room Tax Commission. The committee would like to see scenarios for the possibility of raising the levy rate. Other topics of discussion: Marina docks Parking structure Blight housing program S 10th St concrete project Pay as you go Room Tax Silver Creek Park Fieldhouse renovations Personnel Committee is to meet on November 7, 2016 to discuss the Mayor's proposal to increase seasonal's hourly rates.
