Roll Call Present: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz Absent: 2- Sladky and Howe 3. Approval of Minutes 14-2008 PUBLIC SAFETY - JULY 22, 2014 MINUTES These Minutes were approved 3-0. Motion by Sitkiewitz. Second by Shaw. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 4. Public Comment 5. Monthly Reports 14-1762 Fire Department Monthly Report - July 2014 This report was accepted and placed on file. 14-1976 Fire Department Monthly Report - August 2014 This report was accepted and placed on file. 14-1763 Police Department Monthly Report - July 2014 This report was accepted and placed on file. 14-1975 Police Department Monthly Report - August 2014 This report was accepted and placed on file. 6. Discussion and Action Items 14-1725 Ordinance amending Section 10.630 Towing of Motor Vehicles of the Municipal Code This Ordinance was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Sitkiewitz. Second by Shaw. All in favor. City of Manitowoc Page 1 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 30, 2014 Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 14-1735 Ordinance amending Section 10.610 Parking Penalties of the Municipal Code. This Ordinance was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Shaw. Second by Sitkiewitz. All in favor. 14-1742 Revision to bond schedule related to forfeiture amounts for parking violations of Municipal Code Sections 10.410, 10.430, 10.410(2) and 10.390(2). This Action Item was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Sitkiewitz. Second by Shaw. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 14-1759 Request from Judge Olson to utilize skip tracing company in attempt to pursue collection of unpaid judgments. This request was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Sitkiewitz. Second by Shaw. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 14-1761 Community Policing Lieutenant and Deputy Chief job descriptions and Organization Chart review. Not discussed, will bring back next month. 14-1811 Special Events Request from Stock's Harley-Davidson to hold Stocktober Fest on October 4, 2014 at their dealership and requesting fireworks permit for the event. This request was already approved by Common Council. 14-1833 Communication from Lt. Matt Wallander of MPD requesting that a "No Parking Between Driveways" sign be placed on the telephone pole in the terrace between the driveways at 619 and 623 N. 4th Street, with photos attached. This Communication was accepted and placed on file. Motion by Shaw. Second by Sitkiewitz. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 14-1973 Communication from Carl Black, 1611 Miriam Rd., relative to request for a "No Outlet" or "Dead End" sign to be placed at the entrance to the Miriam cul-de-sac for safety reasons. This communication was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Sitkiewitz. Second by Shaw. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz City of Manitowoc Page 2 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes - Final September 30, 2014 14-1974 Communication from Mayor Nickels on behalf of residents near Emma Radandt Park asking for the placement of a stop sign due to increased traffic in the neighborhood. This communication was recommended for approval to the Common Council. Motion by Shaw. Second by Sitkiewitz. All in favor. Aye: 3- Able, Shaw and Sitkiewitz 14-1539 MFD update collaborative effort with Building Inspection. This item was discussed, no action taken. 7.
