Meeting also available via Remote Conferencing-Zoom 1. Call to Order 2. Roll Call Present: 5- Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Boldt and Reckelberg 3. Public Comment Ron Nixon of 850 North 6th Street was present to discuss item 21-0550. 4. Consent Agenda These items will be approved by one motion unless any Committee Member wishes to remove an item for discussion. REMOVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS: None. In the recommendation, Greg indicated speed limit signs could be placed in the alley but he does not recommend the City install any permanent children at play signs. Alder Vanderkin made a motion to approve the request but after further discussion changed the motion to only install speed limit signs in the alley. Moved by Vanderkin, seconded by Boldt, that this Request be approved and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Boldt and Reckelberg 21-0551 Police Department facility dog program. Police Chief Nick Reimer and Deputy Chief Jason Freiboth inform the committee about the possibility of implementing a facility dog program at the Police Department. Chief Reimer explained this program would be in connection with our current K9 program and not funded by the City. Moved by Boldt, seconded by Vanderkin, that this Communication be placed on file. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Vanderkin, Beeman, Boldt and Reckelberg 6. Meeting also available via Remote Conferencing-Zoom Pursuant to Section 19.84(2) and (3) of the Wisconsin Statutes, notice is hereby given to the public, to the Herald-Times-Reporter, the official newspaper of Manitowoc, and to those news media who have filed a written request for this notice that a meeting of the above-referenced will be held at the date, time and location listed above. This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via Zoom to maximize opportunities for residents to attend. Those attending the meeting via Zoom who wish to give public input are asked to keep their microphone muted until public input is opened to improve audio quality for all attendees.
