Discussion and Action Items 22-0592 Police Department request for special distribution from the City of Manitowoc K-9 Preservation Fund, recommend to approve the request. Attachments: 2023 CHEVROLET TAHOE 4WD PPV emergency lighting and electronics estimate Email - special distribution request The Police Department is requesting a special distribution from the City of Manitowoc K-9 Preservation Fund which requires 75% approval from the Common Council. Chief Reimer will be requesting up to $75,000.00 to be drawn from the K9 Preservation Fund. Moved by Boldt, seconded by Kaderabek, that this Request be approved and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Reckelberg, Vanderkin, Kaderabek and Boldt 22-0593 CAWG request from the Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department for Extrication Equipment, recommend to approve the request. Attachments: Fire-Extrication equip Moved by Boldt, seconded by Vanderkin, that this Request be approved and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Reckelberg, Vanderkin, Kaderabek and Boldt 22-0594 CAWG Request from the Manitowoc Fire Rescue Department for PPE Firefighting Gear, recommend to approve the request. Attachments: Fire-PPE Moved by Vanderkin, seconded by Boldt, that this Request be approved and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Reckelberg, Vanderkin, Kaderabek and Boldt City of Manitowoc Page 2 Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes July 11, 2022 22-0596 Discussion and possible action on parking restrictions in the City owned parking lot adjacent to the Waste Water Treatment Facility. Attachments: RE_ Fisherman’s parking lot A motion was made to draft an ordinance indicating "no parking between the hours of 11 p.m. - 4 a.m." in the parking lot adjacent to the Waste Water Treatment Facility. Moved by Reckelberg, seconded by Vanderkin, that this Request be approved and referred to Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 5- Schlei, Reckelberg, Vanderkin, Kaderabek and Boldt 6. This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via Zoom to maximize opportunities for residents to attend. Those attending the meeting via Zoom who wish to give public input are asked to keep their microphone muted until public input is opened to improve audio quality for all attendees.
