Notice is hereby given that a majority of the Common Council of the City of Manitowoc, or a standing committee of that body, may be present at this meeting to gather information about the subject matter over which they have decision making responsibility. This meeting is being conducted both in Council Chambers at City Hall and via remote conferencing software due to a state of emergency and federal, state, and local guidance on gatherings. Call to Order Roll Call Present: 6- Nickels, McMeans, Brey, Sitkiewitz, Reilly and Tegen Discussion and Action Items 21-0326 Discussion on the services agreement between the City of Manitowoc Room Tax Commission, Two Rivers Room Tax Commission, and the Manitowoc Area Visitor and Convention Bureau Representatives from Two Rivers Room Tax Commission and MAVCB Board were present to present their thoughts and positions on the services agreement between the three entities. Rich Larson of the MAVCB provided a summary of their position. Greg Buckley from Two Rivers provided a memo and summary of their position. Mayor Nickels provided a summary of the City’s position. A discussion ensued about various items. The consensus of the room was to hold a small group discussion with the representatives from the three entities to determine what common ground exists and what outstanding issues remain and City of Manitowoc Page 1 Room Tax Commission Meeting Minutes - Final April 13, 2021 then report back to their respective entities. No formal action was taken. Motion by Brey, second by Sitkiewitz to adjourn. Meeting adjourned at 6:23 p.m. The Two Rivers Commission and VCB Board were also adjourned.
