The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Reilly, Tegen, Czekala, Brey, Sitkiewitz and Nickels 22-0243 Request for funds from Rahr-West Art Museum for utility box project Attachments: Rahr Utility Box Project 2 Request Moved by Czekala, seconded by Sitkiewitz, that the funding for the utility box project be approved for the amount of $9,280. The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Reilly, Tegen, Czekala, Brey, Sitkiewitz and Nickels 22-0240 Request from Wisconsin Maritime Museum for funds needed for maintenance of the USS Cobia Attachments: Maritime Museum City Request Letter Moved by Brey, seconded by Czekala, that the request for funds be approved in the amount of $100,000 over four years ($25,000 per year). The motion carried by the following vote: Aye: 6- Reilly, Tegen, Czekala, Brey, Sitkiewitz and Nickels 22-0241 Possible creation of a Tourism Advisory Board to the Room Tax Commission The Commission discussed the creation of the Advisory Board. The Commission was in favor of creating the Board. The Tourism Director and Mayor are researching next steps for the proper creation of the Board. 22-0242 Discussion on future regular meeting schedule No action taken. The Commission agreed to have regular meetings. The Tourism Director will create a meeting schedule. Discussion on members of Room Tax Commission City of Manitowoc Page 2 Room Tax Commission Meeting Minutes March 21, 2022 The Commission discussed removing Community Development Director as a Commission member and discussed possible replacements.
