Eggleston St. AGENDA Notice is hereby given that the Manor City Council will conduct a SPECIAL EMERGENCY MEETING on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 12:00 p.m. at the regular meeting place in Council Chamber at City Hall, 105 E. Eggleston Street, Manor, Texas. Emergency Meetings are held in case of emergency or urgent public necessity. An emergency and urgent public necessity is limited to imminent threats to public health and safety, which require immediate action by the Manor City Council. The emergency and urgent public necessity is the loss of electricity to a portion of the city during an extreme heat wave. This notice of meeting giving time, place, date and subject of this EMERGENCY SPECIAL MEETING was posted as described in V.T.C.A., Government Code §551.041 for the purpose of considering the following agenda item and will be provided to the news media and to anyone else that has requested to be notified pursuant to Section 551.047 (a): CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM IS PRESENT 1. Consideration, discussion, and possible action on open City facilities as cooling centers and other measures that may be taken by the City to address the loss of electricity to a portion of the City during an extreme heat wave. ADJOURNMENT FOLLOWING THE EMERGENCY MEETING THE CITY COUNCIL WILL GO INTO THE CALLED SPECIAL MEETING. In addition to any executive session already listed above, the City Council reserves the right to adjourn into executive session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the matters listed above, as authorized by Texas Government Code Section §551.071 (Consultation with Attorney), §551.072 (Deliberations regarding Real Property), §551.073 (Deliberations regarding Gifts and Donations), §551.074 (Personnel Matters), §551.076 (Deliberations regarding Security Devices) and §551.087 (Deliberations regarding Economic Development Negotiations).
