CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mike Leasor at 6:05 p.m. Board Members present: Marty Thomas, Cindy Gardner, Carol McKenna, Chris Ohan, Mike Leasor, and James Leggs. Board Member absent: Connie McGough City Staff present: Museum Manager Jessica Baber, Deputy City Manager Shelly Lanners Citizens Present: None 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The Board discussed the minutes. The only suggested change was adding the last name of the citizen who attended the meeting. The minutes were changed to reflect the full name Annette Hamill. 3. CITIZENS COMMENTS None 4. DISCUSS BOARD BY-LAWS The Board members received a draft of the by-laws compiled by Jessica Baber, based on the feedback she received. The board went through the by-laws line by line, making edits. Jessica will update the by-laws and send them to the board. 5. DISCUSS POTENTIAL PROJECTS WITH THE HISTORIC LANDMARK COMMISSION The Historic Landmark Commission would like to partner with the board to mark National Preservation Month in May 2020. Members of the Commission suggested forming a committee comprised of members of each group to plan an event or activities for the month. The Commission would also like to plan some kind of gathering for the members of both groups to meet. Jessica will let the Commission know that the Board is interested in working together on Preservation Month. The Man House Project was discussed. Shelly Lanners explained the Board that the project is being completed in multiple phases. Phases 1 and 2 include the restoration of the House and Barn. Phase 3 is building a visitor center, restrooms and an outdoor amphitheater. Phase 4 is rebuilding log cabins. As of now, the restoration phase is scheduled to be completed in December 2019 or January 2020. A meeting between the Board, Historical Commission and the Architect of the project could be scheduled to be sure both groups are aware of the scope of the project. 6.
