CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Cindy Gardner at 4:07 Board Members present: Cindy Gardner, Annette Hamill, Tom Leach, Chris Ohan, and Marty Thomas City Staff present: Museum Manager Jessica Baber, Museum Education and Engagement Specialist Amanda Brown, Director of Library Services Yolanda Botello 2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM APRIL 28 MEETING Tom made a motion to approve the minutes as written, Marty seconded and all voted in favor. 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None 4. PROJECT UPDATES a. The Wedding Dress Exhibit should open on Saturday, June 4. The exhibit consists of wedding dresses from the c.1880s to 1990s. Cindy has done research on the time period and dress styles and the exhibit group has found photographs and other items that can be included on the text panels. The museum created flyers to post online and distribute around town, possibly to Bridal shops, to help promote the exhibit. b. There will be two free summer camps with lots of activities and crafts for children June 13-17 and July 25-29. So far, six children signed up the June week and two have signed up for July. The Man house will be closed in the mornings when the camps are taking place. 5. STEPS PROGRAM The board reviewed, discussed and reviewed Mission, Vision and Governance standards 10-13. Jessica and Amanda have written down which ones need to be a priority. 6. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS Rashel’s son is doing much better. 7. ADJOURN The meeting was adjourned at 5:08.
