CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order by Cindy Gardner at 6:08 p.m. Board Members present: Cindy Gardner, Annette Hamill, Marty Thomas, and Linda Leddy. City Staff present: Museum Manager, Jessica Baber and Museum Education and Engagement Specialist, Amanda Brown. 2. APPROVE MINUTES FROM MAY 25 MEETING Linda made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Marty seconded the motion and all voted to approve. 3. CITIZEN COMMENTS None 4. PROJECT UPDATES a. The next Hands on History will be July 15 and will be no sew pioneer rag dolls. 1st camp for 1st-3rd graders had 16 kids. The 2nd camp for 4th-6th graders had 19 campers. 100 hours of play will be at the Man House on July 6th at 10:00 a.m. The Junior History Club will meet this Saturday, June 24th through the library. Three kids are signed up to attend. The next docent project will take place in the fall and will be restoring the furniture from the Cook Cabin. Currently, there is a structural analysis of the Cook cabin that will help inform how it will be moved and set up at the Man House Museum. b. Jessica is working on new exhibit downstairs called History in Print. In the fall the museum will host a Quanah Parker exhibit from the Texas Lakes Trails. There are two dates available and the board thought the December–January availability would have more visitation. The museum will contact the great grandson of Quanah Parker, Lance Tamakhera. 5. STEPS PROGRAM HSL 1 – 5, page 174-182 6. BOARD MEMBER COMMENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS On July 20th at 6:00 the quarterly Historical Society meeting will be at the Man House.
