MAPLE GROVE ARBOR SUBCOMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES REMOTE ONLINE MEETING March 10th, 2021 – 10:00 AM Call to Order The special meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Sarah Piket at 10:00 a.m. Members Present Sarah Piket, Marilyn Arnlund, Don Varney Members Absent None Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Marilyn Arnlund made a motion to approve the agenda Minutes of the March 10th meeting. The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Old Business Review Pre-pandemic The subcommittee had not met in over a year due to the Status pandemic. Time was spent getting back up-to-speed and reviewing status, key accomplishments, and outstanding tasks prior the hiatus. New Business Identify Near-term Subcommittee identified the need to update a master Tasks and Deliverables status document for presentation to the broader Arbor Committee at the April 8th meeting. Additionally, the subcommittee will focus on topics of information to be introduced or modified in the Landscape Ordinance (e.g. planting techniques, soil volumes, etc.) and document proposed changes (in descriptive terms but not actual ordinance language). Subcommittee will bring the topics to introduce to the broader Arbor Committee (likely one topic per meeting). Before doing so, the subcommittee will continue updating the Reference Document Commonalities document that was started pre-pandemic to facilitate identifying topics and proposed changes. Determine Future Subcommittee will meet twice monthly for the Meeting Cadence foreseeable future Next Meeting Identify commonalities between numerous reference documents/guidelines. Adjournment Marilyn Arnlund moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Sarah Piket and passed Arbor Subcommittee Meeting Minutes March 10, 2021 Page 2 unanimously on a voice vote.
