MAPLE GROVE ARBOR SUBCOMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES REMOTE ONLINE MEETING May 5th, 2021 – 2:00 PM Call to Order The special meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Sarah Piket at 2:00 p.m. Members Present Don Varney, Marilyn Arnlund Members Absent None Also Present None Approval of Agenda and Sarah Piket made a motion to approve the agenda of Minutes the May 5th meeting. The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Sarah Piket made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 7th meeting (the April 21st meeting was cancelled, thereby delaying this approval). The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Sarah Piket made a motion to approve the minutes of the Feb. 18th, 2020 meeting (this was the last meeting before a one year pause due to COVID, approving them at the next March 10th, 2021 meeting was inadvertently missed, thereby delaying this approval). The motion was seconded by Don Varney and passed unanimously on a voice vote. Old Business Continue to identify Subcommittee members gave updates on progress commonalities between made on the commonalities spreadsheet (whose numerous Reference purpose is to document key technical guidelines from Documents/Guidelines numerous reference documents). Because members are updating this document offline and there have been multiple other Arbor Committee activities recently, very little progress has been made. Subcommittee members believe it is still a critical document for identifying proposed changes to the landscape ordinance, however progress is slow due to commitments on members’ time outside of meetings. The option of updating the spreadsheet in the meetings was discussed but ultimately committee members feel it would be too inefficient to do as a group over Webex. Time was spent discussing other items that Arbor Subcommittee Meeting Minutes May 5, 2021 Page 2 could be tackled while the commonalities spreadsheet continues to updated. New Business None Next Meeting Determine June and July meeting schedule. Give progress updates on commonalities spreadsheet. Discuss possible improvements to inspection processes. Adjournment Don Varney moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Marilyn Arnlund and passed unanimously on a voice vote.
