Maple Grove Arbor subcommittee regular meeting minutes June 24, 2024 CED Conference Room 9:00 a.m. Call to order The regular meeting of the Arbor Subcommittee was called to order by Member Marilyn Arnlund at 9:00 a.m. Members present Marilyn Arnlund, Don Varney, Sarah Piket Members absent None Also present Shane DeGroy, City Forester Approval of agenda and Motion Varney, second Piket to approve the agenda for June minutes 24, 2024. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Approval of minutes Motion Varney, second Piket to approve the minutes for April 19, 2024. Vote all ayes. Motion passed. Old Business None Review proposed ordinance New Business changes with City Forester Members reviewed the proposed changes to the landscape ordinance with Shane DeGroy, City Forester. Shane had questions about a few changes and suggested a few modifications which were discussed. Shane will email members if he has any additional feedback, and if necessary, another meeting will be scheduled. A few questions need follow-up coming out of the discussion. One is around the best method to determine the minimum number of trees required, and another is around the best list of overstory and understory trees to reference in the ordinance.
