Beach Schedule Updates - Samantha Malloy Handed out 2017 Beach Schedule. Next January 7th at South Beach. All beach clean up schedules added to City website and calendar. Ms. O'Hara will add to Chamber calendar. (5) COMMITTEE COMMUNICATIONS a. City's Beach Stewardship Program Member Ferrara sent updates via email. Have at least 15 beach stewards. b. Beach Clean-up T-Shirts Were they received. Member McCann will have t-shirts for next clean up. Ordered 170 cotton t shirts, will have by January 7th. Receiving great number of volunteers for clean ups. Some coolers on beach need to be out c. Beach Education Outreach Member O'Hara presentation for kids will build into a slide show to be presented to all City of Marco Island Florida Page 1 Beach Advisory Committee Meeting Minutes - Final-revised December 21, 2016 schools. Will have by end of next week. She will revise presentation for mature audiences. Add to next month agenda who will present for February 12th. d. Goals 2016 Progress/Status Chair Burson will review. Goals are on going, some have been completed. Members need to review in next month and bring new goals to next month meeting. e. Budget - 2016/2017 Chair Burson 2017 active budget is additional $2500. Project community to keep a cleaner and safe beach same as goals. (6) OLD BUSINESS a. Meet & Greet Chair Burson inquired is there any other type of meet and greet for conservation group? Environmental Specialist has information table. BAC to present to BchAC can help sponsor BAC. Member McCann possible opportunity having environmental theme at Sarason or Residence Beach. MICA sponsor, will let know location. (7) NEW BUSINESS None. (8) PUBLIC COMMENT None.
