Business a. ID 21-1760 Presentation - Legislative Update, Ronald L. Book Florida Legislative Lobbyist Ron Book provided a perspective on the State's most recent 2021 legislative session and the emerging issues that he sees generating the most interest and support at the State legislative level in 2022. b. ID 21-1759 Marco Island Smokehouse Creek Bridge Replacement Project The Council, following interactive dialogue with Mr. Book and Ms. Brown, identified several opportunities of promise for the City of Marco Island to prioritize for the upcoming 2022 Florida Legislative Session. MOTION by Councilor Irwin, seconded by Councilor Blonna, that the following initiatives be prioritized and Approved as the City's priorities for the 2022 Florida Legislative Session: 1) the Smokehouse Creek Bridge replacement project; 2) a City Staff-identified water quality improvement project consistent with the City's San Marco Road tide flushing project approved and funded in 2021, and; 3) the implementation of policy-level changes to enhance local municipality access to City of Marco Island Florida Page 1 City Council Meeting Minutes - Final September 2, 2021 Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR) records. MOTION CARRIED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: Yes: 4- Councilor Blonna, Councilor Irwin, Vice-Chair Folley and Chair Grifoni 4. Public Comment No members of the public came forward to offer comment. 5.
