Chairman Van Buren explained the rules and procedures used in conducting the public hearings. MINUTES: 20191015 October 28, 2019 Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting Minutes Review and Approval of the October 28, 2019 Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting Minutes. Mr. Lowman made a motion, seconded by Mr. Zenoni that the October 28, 2019 Board of Zoning Appeals meeting minutes be approved. The Motion carried 4-0-0. Ms. Kirkpatrick, Mr. Hunter and Mr. Clark were absent. A motion was made by Board member Lowman, seconded by Board member Zenoni, that this matter be Approved and Finalized. The motion carried by the following vote: City of Marietta Page 1 Printed on 11/26/2019 8:16:13AM BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS Meeting Minutes November 25, 2019 Absent: 3 Vote For: 4 VARIANCES: 20190945 V2019-36 [VARIANCE] MATTHEW & JESSICA MCGEE V2019-36 [VARIANCE] MATTHEW & JESSICA MCGEE are requesting a variance for property zoned R-3 (Single Family Residential), located in Land Lot 1087, District 16, Parcel 0400, 2nd Section, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia, and being known as 134 Frances Avenue. Variance to allow an accessory structure closer to the right of way than the principal structure on a corner lot. Ward 4B. A public meeting was held. Ms. Faye Colbert for the Applicant presented a request for a variance to allow an accessory structure closer to the right of way than the principal structure on a corner lot. There was no opposition to this request. Chairman Van Buren asked if they went before the Historic Board and if they were replacing the current fence. Ms. Colbert said they were excused from going before the Historic Board and affirmed that the current fence will be removed. Mr. Lowman asked what type of fencing they were using around the pool. Ms. Colbert said they are installing a five-foot high fence with self-closing and self-latching locks. The public hearing was closed. A motion was made by Mr. Lowman to approve this application as submitted on the basis that it would not be detrimental or injurious to property or improvements in the vicinity of the development site, or to the public health, safety, or general welfare. It was seconded by Mr. Samples. The Motion carried 4-0-0. A motion was made by Board member Lowman, seconded by Board member Samples, that this matter be Approved and Finalized.
