City of Marietta Page 1 Printed on 5/18/2016 4:57:18PM CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING Meeting Agenda May 20, 2016 20160512 Motion to approve certain actions of the City Attorney for the City of Marietta Motion to authorize and direct the City Attorney to take any and all appropriate action necessary to enforce and/or carry out the Declaration of Suspension adopted by the Mayor and City Council on May 20, 2016. This Motion includes the authority to file any appropriate petition, legal action or other remedy set forth in Georgia law including, but not limited to a petition for declaratory judgment, writ of mandamus, writ of quo warranto, or any other equitable action or legal remedy consistent with Georgia law. The City Attorney is further authorized to defend any action brought against the city related to the Declaration of Suspension. The City Attorney is further authorized to file any appeal or respond to any appeal from any judgment, order or ruling, either interlocutory or final, from any court related to the Declaration of Suspension. 20160513 Appointment to Pension Board to fill term of Anthony Calvin Coleman Motion to appoint Councilman Johnny Walker as a member of the Pension Board for the City of Marietta replacing Anthony Calvin Coleman.
