Goldstein, Ward 7 Tuesday, April 30, 2024 Council Chamber CALL TO ORDER: BUSINESS: 20240435 Approval of the engagement of a Special Counsel Approval of contracting with Attorney Andy Welch of Smith, Welch, Webb and White as a special Counsel for the representation of the City of Marietta in Service Delivery Strategy negotiations with Cobb County. This representation will be in conjunction with the Cities of Smyrna, Acworth, Kennesaw, Powder Springs and Austell. Each City will pay a portion of the costs of this representation based on population numbers. The Mayor is authorized to sign the documents needed for the engagement of Mr. Welch on behalf of the City. 20240436 Approval of contracting for Professional Services Approval of retaining the services of Robinson Republic, Ohio River South and Bedrock Advocacy to assist with Communications Services associated with Service Delivery Strategy negotiations with Cobb County. These services will be provided jointly to Marietta and the Cities of Smyrna, Kennesaw, Acworth, Powder Springs and Austell. Each City shall contribute 10,000 dollars to the retainer for their services. The Mayor is authorized to sign the necessary documents for the contracting of these professional service firms for the City.
