The grants funds were awarded for: Two (2) License Plate Recognition readers (LPRs); Three (3) Rapid ID systems; and Two (2) Lidar units (speed detection devices). The awarded money is requested to be placed in account # 101-4001-521-6131 (Computers & Accessories). The competition “Social Media Impact” consisted of police agencies that are clients of Sungard from around the United States. The competition was for each agency to explain how they use Social Media to communicate with the public and as a tool for criminal investigations.
