BUSINESS: 20210152 Marietta Police Department Ordinance Amendment Motion approving an ordinance amending the Marietta City Code, 9-12-020, “Removal of wrecked or illegally parked vehicles from public streets and highways” for the Marietta Police Department. 20210158 Final Plat - The Townes at Marietta Phase 1 Request by McKinley Construction for approval of the final plat for the Townes at Marietta, Phase 1, located at 557, 571, 605 & 671 Wylie Road. 20210159 Preliminary Plat - Rosehill Townhomes Request by 33 Holdings, LLC for approval of the preliminary plat to develop 33 townhomes at 401 Rose Drive, zoned RM-12 with the following variances: Reduction in minimum lot size from 5 acres to 3.26 acres; Reduction in recreation area from 0.66 acres to 0.25 acres; and Waive active recreation requirement. City of Marietta Page 1 Printed on 2/22/2021 10:56:06AM JUDICIAL LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE Meeting Agenda February 23, 2021 20210172 Legislative Update An update of the 2021 Georgia Legislative Session. 20210185 Amend City Charter to Align Municipal Court Motion to amend city Charter to align Municipal Court as follows: · Establish an “Environmental Court”, separate calendar. · Establish a weekly evening Court for those who work with “simple” defenses. · Make Chief Judge full time with comparable compensation to be appointed for 1 year and until successor is chosen or removed pursuant to o.c.g.a. 36-2-1 and 36-2- 2. Appointments shall be made in January of beginning of Term of Council, then Subsequently every succeeding January Council Meeting during a term of council or as needed for resignation, removal, or increased case load. · Make Prosecuting Attorney full time with similar terms and full-time compensation.
