City of Marietta Page 1 Printed on 8/28/2017 10:25:28AM PARKS, RECREATION AND Meeting Agenda August 30, 2017 TOURISM COMMITTEE 20170815 Marietta’s Aviation Sports Complex Contract Authorized Parks director to negotiate a long-term contract (beyond termination of term of council commencing January 2018) for a continued and sustainable quality youth baseball program at Marietta's Aviation Sports Complex. Said lease shall be framed as an Intergovernmental agreement and include special stipulations including, but not limited to the following: affordability opportunities for Marietta youth, capital improvements and daily maintenance by tenant, compatibility with oncoming Trail through its campus, fair rental rate based on sharing of revenue, Etc. With special public conditions as integral part of lease, waive bidding requirements to authorize sole negotiations with current 8-year user. Consideration of anticipated lease and Intergovernmental agreement to be scheduled for January 2018 Council meeting agenda.
