20200451 Modification to the Lease and Intergovernmental Agreement with the Development
Authority of Marietta (MDA)
Request to Approve a Modification to the Intergovernmental Agreement with the
MDA for the possible temporary forbearance of rent for the Aviation Sports
Complex related to COVID-19.
20200446 FY2021 Tourism Grants
Discussion and consideration of the Tourism Grant Applications
Council Member Goldstein discloses that The Earl Smith Strand Theatre rents space
owned by the Herbert S. Goldstein Family Limited Partnership. The Herbert S.
Goldstein Family Limited Partnership is owned and managed by members of Council
Member Goldstein's family. Council Member Goldstein will not participate in any
discussion or vote on this item in his official capacity as a city council member.
Council Member Goldstein discloses that GA Metro Dance Theatre is located in
space rented by Ashleigh Whitworth and Morgan Stoner and owned by the PMG
Whitlock Ave, LLC. PMG Whitlock Ave, LLC is owned and managed by Philip M.
Goldstein. Philip Goldstein is the father of Councilmember Goldstein. Council
Member Goldstein will not participate in any discussion or vote on this item in his
official capacity as a city council member.
Council Member Goldstein discloses that the Atlanta Lyric Theatre rents space
owned by Philip M. Goldstein. Philip Goldstein is the father of Council Member
Goldstein. Council Member Goldstein will not participate in any discussion or vote
on this item in his official capacity as a city council member.
Council Member Goldstein discloses that he is on the board of the Marietta Welcome
Center representing the City of Marietta.
Council Member Goldstein discloses that he is a member of the Marietta/Cobb
Museum of Art.
Council Member Goldstein discloses that Elise Goldstein is a member of the Georgia
Symphony Orchestra Chorus and is a member of one of the committees of the
Georgia Symphony Orchestra. Elise Goldstein is the mother of Council Member
Goldstein.

20200453 4th of July Parade
Motion to roll out a 4th scaled back parade with 2020 constraints:
1. Participants to be limited to MHS 2020 graduating seniors, Marietta First
Responders, Wellstar Medical Family, Georgia National Guard, Veterans. Traditional
floats and groups not this year. No political or civic groups to put it bluntly including
us.
2. Walking in spaced groups encouraged with face mask, if float or vehicle, 10
persons maximum
3. Parade viewers to wear masks and observe social distancing
4. Festivities will be limited to participating downtown business district Restaurants
and organizations on square within their discipline
5. Other City Brick and Mortar restaurants to be allowed tents properly spaced on
sidewalks
6. July 4th Farmers Market in DMDA parking lot
7. Covid-19 testing station available to encourage testing
8. Subject to continuing stabilization and improvement in virus conditions
9. Ask DMDA to co-host
