BUSINESS: 20170438 FY 2018 Revisions to City/BLW Pay and Classification System documents Consideration of ordinance adopting the City of Marietta and Board of Lights and Water Position Allocation Charts, and the Compensation, Position Classification, and Career Development Plans for FY 2018, with changes to take effect on the pay period beginning July 2, 2017. 20170185 Amending Social Security Option in Consolidated Retirement Plan Proposal of an Ordinance from the Pension Board amending the table in Article VII, Section 3 of the Consolidated Retirement Plan for the Employees of the City of Marietta, Georgia (Exhibit B to Chapter 4-12), regarding the Social Security Option that allows employees to elect a more level retirement income should they so choose. Additionally, this change clarifies that only employees who retire from active service are eligible for this option. The Pension Board decision to recommend the Ordinance was approved May 10, 2017, by a vote of 8-0-0, with one member absent. The Pension Board decision to recommend the Ordinance was approved May 10, 2017, by a vote of 8-0-0, with one member absent. 20170504 Defined Benefit Pension Plan Investment Policy Statement Approval Proposal of a motion recommending approval of the updated Defined Benefit Pension Plan Investment Policy Statement (IPS) as forwarded by the Pension Board. The update adds a section of the O.C.G.A. that is followed but has not been formally mentioned in the IPS.
