Motion to expand further safety measures (through our general fund budget) in our neighborhoods, busy residential streets, parks, and Community by the following: a. Primary: Input from Marietta P D as to more police presence throughout our City beyond “traditional” officer duties. b. Second: Additional funding for Public Works for enhanced Street monitoring for our residential streets with heavy traffic. c. Third: After funding Primary first, then second, then other areas recommended by City departments. 2. Budget tolerance: $1,000,000 for maximum general fund addition to budget implemented over time. a. If a definitive plan is obtained and approved, seek an additional transfer from BLW of $500,000 or even grants for this increased safe harbor initiative.
