20210573 St John Avenue Utilities
Request by Marietta Power for consideration of a motion authorizing variance from
the underground utility’s ordinance allowing the installation of a new lift pole in the
right-of-way at 1515 St John Avenue. This motion does not grant a perpetual
variance. Marietta Power must relocate underground at their expense if other utilities
at the location are moved underground.

Installation of Median and Signage on Waddell Street at the Courthouse per request
from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office to improve safety at the mid-block Pedestrian

Discussion of the potential use of speed detection devices in school zones in the city.

Motion to request approval from the State giving our Marietta Police Department the
authority of being able to use speed detection devices in a 25 MPH residential zone
as a safety measure on Lawrence Street.
Requested by Council Member Reggie Copeland.
