Regular Meeting Minutes, March 11, 2024
Call to Order
The regular meeting of the Village Board, for the Village of Marquette, was called
to order by President Cybul at 7:00 p.m. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Trustee-Tony Deiss-present
There were 4 citizens in attendance.
Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings Law
Certification of Compliance with the Open Meetings law: Agenda notice was
posted in three public places-Village Hall, kiosks at the Post Office and Truck
Garage, also posted on the Village Website.
Approve Agenda
A motion to approve the agenda was made. Deiss/Michalos. Motion passed.

Approval of Regular Minutes sent to Board members
A motion to approve the minutes from the February meeting was made.
Michalos/Deiss Motion passed. (Unanimous)
Reading and Approval of Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer’s report was read. Motion to approve the Treasurer’s report was
made. Michalos/Deiss. Motion passed. (unanimous)
Approve Payment of Bills
Approve payment of Bills: Presented for payment were vouchers 9878-9896 in the
amount of $2297.06 plus the $4,500.00 for the maintained balance and utilities for
the Grand total of $6797.06 Motion to pay the bills aa presented and transfer from
the appropriate accounts the amount of $5,400.00 to the General Fund.
The motion to approve the bills, Michalos/ Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous)
Citizen Comments - Time Limits
No citizens comments were noted.
Discuss/Approve County Road H Forum Meeting March 20th @ 6pm
The date and time for the County H (2nd Street) meeting were confirmed. The
Board discussed the need for a projector and sound system for the meeting.
Board Reminders / Updates
Lawn Care Service Approval:
A thorough discussion took place regarding the selection of a lawn care service for
the Village. The motion for approving Fast Eddie’s Lawn Care Service was made
pending reference checks and pricing structure. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed.

Village Hall Cleaning:
The board discussed ongoing cleaning arrangements for the Village Hall given the
health issues of the current cleaner. A motion to utilize the services of Marie for
Village Hall cleaning, in addition to Marty. The motion to approve utilizing both
cleaners. Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous)
Mel Bruening Property:
A letter supporting Mel’s property development efforts was revised and aligned
with the Village’s position on improving business, supporting a campground, and
the installation of docks and facilities for wheelchair users among other
improvements. The motion to approve the letter with revisions was made.
Michalos/Deiss, Motion passed. (unanimous)
Board Reminders/Updates
Pier Update: pier will be installed after April 15, 2024
Cemetery Road Update: Estimate received for road repair
Public Testing for Voting Machines will be March 26, 2024 @ 1 pm
Adjourn: Motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 pm. Michalos/Deiss. Motion
passed. (unanimous)
