April 11, 2013 A special meeting of the Council of the City of Martinsville, Virginia, was held on April 11, 2013, in Council Chambers, Municipal Building, at 7:00 PM, to receive the City Manager’s FY14 budget recommendations with Mayor Kim Adkins presiding. Council Members present included: Mayor Adkins, Vice Mayor Gene Teague, Danny Turner, Sharon Brooks Hodge and Mark Stroud. Staff present included: Leon Towarnicki, City Manager, Brenda Prillaman, Eric Monday, Linda Conover, Mike Rogers, and Donna Odell. City Manager, Leon Towarnicki presented the proposed FY14 budget for Council’s consideration. The presentation and proposed FY14 budget is to be posted on the city’s website. No action was taken at this time to set a public hearing for the FY14 budget. Budget worksession dates will be coordinated with Council by Mrs. Prillaman.
