Resolution 113 - 2024 RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF A GRANT APPLICATION THROUGH THE CONSOLIDATED FUNDING APPLICATION (CFA) PROCESS TO SECURE FUNDING FOR TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE TOWN OF MASSENA, NY WHEREAS, the Town of Massena has continued their tourism efforts with the continual expansion of tournaments and related activities annually; and, WHEREAS, the town board for the Town of Massena recognizes the need to continue their promotion of the community and the local businesses through tourism as an economic driver; and, WHEREAS, the submission of a grant application for Market NY tourism resources will help the town in their continued efforts for growth of the local and regional economies through tourism; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the town board for the Town of Massena approves and supports the submission of an application to seek funding for the resources necessary to hold tournaments during FY 2025, and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town of Massena will allocate the necessary resources to provide for the 50% matching funds necessary to make this promotional effort a reality.
