Common Council Re-Organization Meeting

COMMON COUNCIL RE-ORGANIZATION MEETING MINUTES April 21, 2026 at 6:00 PM 303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI 1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The Mauston Common Council reorganizational meeting was called to order on April 21, 2026, at 6:05 p.m. by Mayor Darryl Teske. Attending members were Jim Allaby, Mary Bender, Vivian Gabower, Leanna Hagen (arrived at 6:10 p.m.), Barb Hoilien, and Casey Radcliff. Absent was Kayla Thomas. Also present were City Administrator Daron Haugh, Police Chief Mike Zilisch, and Deputy Clerk Carole Wolff. 2. Pledge of Allegiance: Mayor Teske led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. Minutes: Motion by Hoilien, seconded by Radcliff, to approve the minutes from April 15, 2025. Motion carried by voice vote. 4. Oath of Office for Incoming Council Members and Mayor: Haugh administered the Oath of Office for the following: Aldermanic District #2 - Mary Bender; Aldermanic District #4 - Barbara Hoilien; Aldermanic District #6 - Casey Radcliff; Mayor - Darryl Teske. 5. Annual Code of Ethics Review: Haugh summarized the Code of Ethics, and acknowledgements were signed by all alderpersons and the Mayor. 6. Mayoral Appointments: Motion by Gabower, seconded by Allaby, to approve the mayoral appointments as presented. Motion carried by voice vote. The Mayor will provide a list of vacancies at the next regular Council meeting. 7. Official City Newspaper: Motion by Radcliff, seconded by Allaby, to designate the Juneau County Star-Times as the Official City Newspaper. Motion carried by voice vote. 8. Resolution 2026-05: Motion by Gabower, seconded by Allaby, to approve Resolution 2026-05 designating public depositories. Motion carried by voice vote. 9.
