PLAN COMMISSION MINUTES September 18, 2024 at 6:30 PM 303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI 1. Call to Order/Roll Call - The Mauston Plan Commission met on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in the Council Chambers of City Hall. Mayor Teske called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Mark Messer, Lenord Kluge, Brian McGuire, Paul Coggins, and Mayor Darryl Teske were present. Absent was Devan Minard. Also, present was Zoning Administrator Allison Schwark by Zoom. 2. Minutes -The motion was made by Messer and seconded by Kluge to approve the September 4, 2024 minutes. Motion carried. 3. Conditional Use Permit for AAB Properties LLC for a multi-family townhome development on Sherman Street - Discussed AAB Properties CUP for a group development, and 5 unit building to be constructed on Sherman Street. Plan Commission members discussed plans, and driveway/vehicle access. The Plan Commission members felt this was a great plan and a good development for the community. The motion was made by Kluge and seconded by Minard. Motion carried. 4. Conditional Use Permit for Group Development of 800 N Union Street - Discussion regarding Jay's Motorsports CUP for group development and outdoor sales and service. Plan Commission members were very excited about the business coming to the City of Mauston, and the potential growth it will bring to the community. Members did not want to allow the applicant to fence in materials, and asked that to stay consistent we allow the John Deere facility to be constructed without the fencing requirements. The zoning administrator stated she would contact John Deere and make them aware. Motion to approve Jays by McGuire and seconded by Messer. Motion carried. 5.
