PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MINUTES
February 11, 2025 at 6:10 PM
303 Mansion Street Mauston, WI
1. Call to Order/Roll Call: The Public Works Committee was called to order on Tuesday, February 11, 2025,
at 6:10 pm by Chairperson Rick Noe. Attending members included Mary Bender, Donna McGinley, and
Rick Noe. Mayor Darryl Teske, Director of Public Works Rob Nelson, Administrator Daron Haugh, and
Deputy Clerk Nicole Lyddy were also present.
2. Minutes: Motion made by McGinley, seconded by Bender to approve the minutes of January 28, 2025.
Motion carried.
3. Alliant Energy easement: Motion made by Bender, seconded by Noe to recommend to the council to
approve the Alliant Energy's request for Easements underground. Motion carried.
4. Well #4: Motion made by Bender, seconded by McGinley to recommend to the council to approve CTW
Wells & Pumps proposal not to exceed $26,284 for variable frequency drive conversion repairs. Motion
carried.
5. Director of Public Works: Nelson reported that the Wisconsin Surplus Auction concluded last week,
with all items selling at favorable prices. Work has begun at Jones Park, starting with the removal of
the dugouts. He concluded his report by stating that the Wastewater lab and office building
upgrades are progressing as planned, with the bar screen installation scheduled for next week.
6. Adjourn: Motion made by McGinley, seconded by Noe to adjourn. Motion carried at 6:16 pm.
