STREETS AND PUBLIC WORKS – TIFFANY CASEY BUILDINGS AND PARKS – JENNIFER ROSSI Jennifer Rossi reported a grant for $338,686.00 was approved for renovations to the municipal building. Jennifer submitted report for 2022 recycling to Lackawanna County. PLAYGROUND AND ATHLETIC COMPLEX – MARY ROSLER Water service restored at athletic complex for the baseball season. PUBLIC SAFETY AND RENTALS – BRIDGET BOETTCHER Fire chief’s report – in packet. MOTION to accept the agreement with PA American Water to take over the fire hydrants. Zoning officer’s report – in packet. Update on engineering grant for levee. Update on federal levee grant. MOTION to adopt a resolution to change the amount of funding request from DCED for levee grant match. (Resolution # 2023-11) MOTION to adopt a resolution to borrow up to $261,000 for a match in case we don’t get the grant. (Resolution # 2023-12) Update on Mine Reclamation grant. MOTION to adopt a resolution to apply for funding for the Mine Reclamation Grant. (Resolution #2023-13). STORMWATER – RON RYCZAK Report on subsidence on Poplar Street headwall.
