“Eternal God, when nothing existed, you swept across the dark waters and brought forth light. Light is a reminder of
your power to create and to be present with us, therefore send your light into this space. Send your light upon those
who have been elected to serve over us and amongst us. God, send your light into each member and staff person of this
administration, particularly this evening to our members of City Council. God, send your light so that they might be filled
with your presence and your wisdom. Help them to carry out their responsibilities with wisdom and care. Send your light
down upon and through our City. Help us to grieve and help us to keep the faith ... that we might continue to inspire all
