MINUTES OF THE MURFREESBORO PLANNING COMMISSION WORKSHOP MEETING DECEMBER 7, 2020 2:OO P.M. Director Anita Heck, Water Resources Engineer in Train. Marshall Fall, Water Resources Engineer Sam Huddleston, Dev’t Services Executive Dir. In accordance with the Executive Order of the Governor, Planning Commission member Ronnie Martin participated in this meeting electronically. Chair Kathy Jones called the meeting to order after determining there was a quorum. Mr. Sam Huddleston came forward to welcome everyone to the meeting. He explained this meeting would include a PowerPoint presentation and that hard copies of the presentation had been provided to the Commission members for their use and records. Presentation on Land Use Matters Mr. Sam Huddleston began the presentation stating that Land-use planning is the process of regulating the use of land in an effort to promote more desirable social and environmental outcomes as well as a more efficient use of resources.
