PUBLIC HEARING – UNSAFE STRUCTURE

CITY OF MEMPHIS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – UNSAFE STRUCTURE APRIL 21, 2026 RE: Unsafe Structure at 34711 Potter Street, Memphis, MI.48041  NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Memphis Council Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 21, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.at Memphis City Hall 80375 Main Street, Memphis, MI. 48041.  The purpose of the hearing is to determine if the building located at 34711 Potter Street parcel # 50-04-03-02-129-001 is a dangerous building. The building has been substantially destroyed by fire, causing unsafe conditions, including structural failure and fire damage.  The owner, agent, or party in interest is entitled to appear at this hearing to show cause why the Building Official should not order the structure demolished or otherwise made safe.  If the building is not brought into compliance or demolished by the owner within the time specified by the City of Memphis the municipality may demolish the building and create a lien against the property for all costs.  Published: In the Record Newspaper April 7, 2026 If you cannot attend this meeting and want your views known, please write or call the City of Memphis at 80375 Main Street, Memphis, MI 48041; Telephone number: 810- 392-2385 by April 21, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Donna J.
