MENOMONIE AIRPORT COMMISSION
October 26, 2022
The Menomonie Airport Commission was called to order by Chairman Dr. Dan
Johnson at 6:00pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in the Menomonie Municipal
Airport Terminal Conference Room. Other Commission members present included:
Arvin Solsaa, Earl Wildenberg and Randy Sommerfeld. Others in attendance
included: Randy Eide, Darrel Gibson and Mayor Randy Knaack.
There were no public comments.
MOTION to approve the September 21, 2022 minutes was made by Wildenberg and
seconded by Solsaa. MOTION approved.
Eide informed the Commission that the Bureau of Aeronautics will be meeting
next week to deliberate on the proposals submitted by consultants to develop
the KLUM Master Plan. More information to follow on the consultant selection
at our November meeting.
Master Plan Project continues to be under solicitation by the Bureau of
Aeronautics and we anticipate a list of proposals for the City of Menomonie
to review in the near future. Underwood and Felch from SEH shared a
programmatic look at project funding options for the next several years.
Chairman Johnson passed out a revised Airport Inspection Checklist. Gibson
presented a similar checklist to the Commission. MOTION made by Wildenberg,
seconded by Solsaa to approve the Airport Daily Checklist developed by
Airport Manager Gibson. MOTION approved.
Items for the next meeting’s agenda shall include Future Project Planning and
Land Use around the airport.
MOTION to adjourn by Solsaa, seconded by Wildenberg. MOTION passed.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 6:00pm at
the Menomonie Municipal Airport Terminal.
