Primary focus of the discussion surrounded the 2022 upgrades to Stout Road which include two new Rapid Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB) crossings for pedestrians. Under BPAC concerns, Arthur Kneeland offered the Committee possible support from senior Stout Students in the form of a Capstone Project to help determine how the City/Committee move forward with bicycle friendly improvements to improve our Bicycle City designation. Dave Williams informed the Committee on the latest Bike Federation Advocate Program information. Patrick Beilfuss reminded the Committee that our Bicycle City Application will need to be resubmitted in 2022 but the applications will not be available until mid-summer of 2022. Patrick also informed the Committee of his upcoming retirement (January 31, 2022) and let everyone know that Bob Colson from Cedar Corp will assist in completing the application this year. The entire Committee thanked Patrick for his service and dedication to the Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee and wished him the best of luck in the future. Congratulations Patrick! The City Bicycle Trail map was reviewed. Bob Colson will send the map out to Committee members to get their feedback on any needed changes before the next scheduled meeting.
