Closed session meeting September 20, 2022. 1138 The Village Board met for a closed session meeting Tuesday September 20, 2022 , 7 p.m. at the Village Hall President Margaret Young, Chris Wruck, Jordan Powell, Sally Madsen, Jane Fehrman, Penny Danielson, Chrystal Fitzmaurice, Chris Danielson, Mike Garbers. President Young called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. President Young Certified the open meeting law requirements have been met. Roll Call was taken –Young, Wruck, Madsen, and Fehrman. Moved by Wruck seconded by Madsen to adjourn to closed session at 7:01 p.m. The Village Board for the Village of Merrillan, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 19.85(1)(c), may convene in Closed Session to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee, all full and part time employees, over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. Moved by Young, seconded Fehrman to have employees Chris Danielson, Mike Garbers, Chrystal Fitzmaurice, and Penny Danielson in closed session. Motion failed, employees were asked to leave closed session. Jordan Powell arrived at 7:05 p.m. Moved by Fehrman seconded by Wruck to reconvene in Open Session at 7:40 p.m. Carried Employees returned at 7:50 p.m. Moved by Fehrman, seconded by Wruck to rescind all wage considerations from the Sept 13, 2022 meeting. Carried. Moved by Wruck, seconded Powell to approve a five (5) percent raise for Clerk-Treasure, Deputy Clerk- Treasurer, Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Seasonal, and Election Inspectors as of January 1, 2023. Carried Moved by Wruck, Seconded by Fehrman that all Vacation and Sick time will follow Employee handbook guidelines.
