Roll Call- All members present. Meeting commenced at 5:43 PM 2. Public Participation- none 3. Vote on Minutes a) January 15, 2024 Special Meeting- motion to accept both the January 15th and January 22nd minutes made by Karen; seconded Jennifer; vote passed unanimously b) January 22, 2024 Regular Meeting- (see above) 4. Council Business a) Updates proposed changes to letter sent to grant awardees- Jennifer edited the awards letters and sent them all out on January 31st. There have been some invitations sent to council members to attend events. If any member chooses to attend, we will notify each other via gmail and wear our badges. b) 2025 MCC Guidelines and Priorities- tabled until our March 11th in-person meeting. Please review the MCC page before we meet. c) Direct Granting- tabled until our March 11th in-person meeting. Please review the MCC page before we meet so you will be familiar with requirements and protocols. We may invite the Lawrence Cultural Council chairperson to a future meeting (in fall of 2024?) to discuss direct granting. 5. Miscellaneous a) Message to City Council/Public Participation on February 5, 2024 b) Message to School Committee Public Participation on February 26, 2024; 6:30 PM c) Meeting with Mayor Perry- Jennifer will reach out to his office to try to secure a meeting time for us. Ellen will create a written proposal to bring to the meeting. Any money that we receive via the Methuen budget will be shared with Methuen through theater and arts events. d) (added)- Methuen Artists Unite met over the weekend and discussed the MCC’s involvement in the Music Series. They are interested in partnering with us for our next  event(s). Our group agreed that working together would be a great advantage. Discussed having an “art table” or other options that MCC could fund at the summer event. The Methuen Artists Unite meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month and all are invited to attend. e) (added)- John Molori will post our meeting dates.
