Methuen Cultural Council 2023-2024 Ellen Baranowski - Secretary John Broscoe - Member Karen Broscoe - Member Jennifer Loiselle – Chair Carey Smith- Member Catherine Zembruski – Member Meeting Minutes Monday, July 8 6:30 PM Location: Virtual/Google Link Video call link: https://meet.google.com/dpg-qjfh-zrg 1 Roll Call- present: Ellen Baranowski, John Broscoe, Karen Broscoe, Jennifer Loiselle, Carey Smith, Catherine Zembruski. The meeting commenced at 6:32 PM. 2 Public Participation- none 2 Vote on Minutes – Meeting of June 24, 2024- tabled until the next meeting 3 Council Business a) Summer Night Music Series Planning- Jennifer reported that the bands are all set and all contracts have been signed and returned. Troubadour Soul is playing on the 12th. We are still awaiting the MCC stickers that Jennifer ordered; hoping to get them by Friday. John and Jennifer have rocks for Friday. Jen will get paint and brushes for the activity. Karen has popcorn and cotton candy ready to go! The city’s 4th of July activites are re- scheduled to Saturnday, July 13th… A weekend of family-fun activities. MCC Members will wear badges to the events. Steve will have tables and chairs for members. Karen and John will be at the venue at about 5:00 to start setting up. 4 Miscellaneous- A vote was taken to deny Lauren Krake’s email request of “All in Energy” a table at these events. This is not the right setting for her company. It will be suggested that she make the request of the Methuen Days committee for a set-up. Jennifer will respond to Lauren, on MCC’s behalf. Motion: Ellen. Seconded: Karen. Vote: unanimous. 5 Look Ahead/Next Meeting- (Regular Meeting) August 12, 2024, 6:30 @ Nevins Memorial Library. 6 Adjourn- The meeting ended at 6:49 PM. Motion: Ellen. Seconded: Jennifer. Vote: unanimous.
