This applies to all persons who are retained (whether paid or not) to represent a business entity or organization to influence “City” action. “City” action is broadly described to include the ranking and selection of professional consultants, and virtually all-legislative, quasi-judicial and administrative action. All not-for-profit organizations, local chamber and merchant groups, homeowner associations, or trade associations and unions must also register however an annual fee is not required. Page 1. It is common for municipalities to periodically review land development regulations in order to adapt to changing land use needs, incorporate new uses, address unforeseen issues or challenges no previously anticipated, eliminate redundancy and continuously streamline and simplify language contained within the LDR. Current Situation Staff wishes to discuss with the City Council regarding the proposed amendments as it pertains to landscaping and the addition of a Business Transitional Overlay District (BTO) prior to the adoption hearing finalizing the Ordinance.
