SPECIAL MEETING – July 8, 2016 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Michigan City, Indiana, met in REGULAR SESSION on Friday morning, July 8, 2016 at the hour of 9:00 a.m., in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall Building, located at 100 East Michigan Boulevard, Michigan City Indiana – a regular meeting room of this Board. The meeting was called to order by President Steve Janus, who presided. Noted present: Steve Janus and Virginia Keating (2). ABSENT Michael Palmer (1). A QUORUM WAS NOTED PRESENT. Also noted in attendance: Amber Lapaich, City Attorney Capt. Steve Jesse, M.C.P.D. Traffic Division Gale Neulieb, City Clerk Kim Sliwa, Deputy City Clerk Street Closure for Car Cruise on July 16, 2016 Discussion ensued between Capt. Steve Jesse, Johnny Stimley and the Board concerning the route; a suggestion of using Wabash Street from Al’s Supermarket to 9th Street was made by Capt. Steve Jesse; Mr. Stimley was in agreement with the route change. Corporate Council Amber Lapaich stated for the record that Mr. Stimley did provide the Certificate of Liability Insurance. Virginia Keating made a motion to approve the 1st Annual Mid-Summer Splendor Car and Motorcycle Show and Cruise on Saturday, July 16, 2016 on Wabash Street from Al’s Supermarket. The motion was seconded by President Janus and carried as follows: AYES: MEMBERS Janus and Keating (2). NAYS: None (0). Motion Carries. ADJOURNMENT President Janus inquired whether there was anything else to be considered by the Board at this time and, there being none, declared the meeting ADJOURNED (approximately 9:03 am). Virginia Keating made the motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded by President Janus and carried as follows: AYES: MEMBERS Janus and Keating (2). NAYS: (0).
