It immediately follows the tax abatement seminar put on by the EDCMC. This 45 minute presentation reviews the basics of an enterprise zone business deduction, how to claim the deduction, filing deadlines and frequently asked questions. The purpose of the workshop is to review the incentives to make sure all businesses are maximizing their tax saving potential. Businesses located in the Michigan City or LaPorte enterprise zones are encouraged to attend. This presentation would also benefit accountants, economic development personnel, and anyone interested in learning more about enterprise zone tax incentives. The information will be presented by Steve McKinney from the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance who represents the 16 county northwest district. This event will take place at the Blue Chip Casino, Sam’s Tap Room A, 777 Blue Chip Drive, Michigan City, Indiana.
