Water Works Board

January 19, 2016 The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Department of Water Works was called to order at 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, in the Main Office of the Department of Water Works, 532 Franklin Street. A quorum was present with the following Board members in attendance: Messrs. Behrendt, Gring, Jordan, and Tsaparikos. Also present was Superintendent Russell and Accountant Ron Plamowski. Mr. Gawronski was absent. Mr. Jordan presided. Minutes of the December 22, 2015, regular meeting and the Executive Session held on December 22, 2015, were approved as written. The Board approved and signed Register of Claims Report 16-01. Mr. Plamowski gave a general review of November, 2015 Financial Statements. The list of seven purchase orders was presented and approved by the Board. Upon a motion by Mr. Behrendt, seconded by Mr. Gring, and approved by the Board, to write off the Bad Debt List dated January 12, 2016, in the amount of $5,595.25, for bookkeeping purposes only. Upon a motion by Mr. Behrendt, seconded by Mr. Tsaparikos, the Board approved and adopted the 2016 Business Plan. Superintendent Russell presented information regarding the National AWWA Annual Conference to be held June 19th thru the 22nd, 2016 in Chicago, IL, asking which Board members plan on attending. Most Board members stated they will be attending. The Board also approved for any Board Member and the Superintendent attending the conference, will be reimbursed according to the Department’s travel policy. There was no old business. There was no public comment. There being no further business to come before the Board, upon a motion by Mr. Tsaparikos, seconded by Mr. Behrendt, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 pm.
