Water Works Board

April 28, 2020 Due to the COVID – 19 PANDEMIC, the regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Department of Water Works was CANCELLED for Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Further, due to this current Pandemic situation, the Governor of Indiana made an Executive proclamation that Governing Board Presidents of Political Subdivisions could approve claims and payments, without out the full Boards input and without holding a public meeting. However, Messrs. Behrendt, Bush, Gring, Tsaparikos and Mrs. Pishkur, along with Superintendent Russell were all sent an agenda in order for all to comment before President Behrendt’s approval. Minutes of the April 14, 2020, regular meeting will be held over until the Pandemic is over. The Board President, Mr. Behrendt approved Register of Claims Report 20-08, which is to be signed by the check signer. The March 2020 Financial Statements will be held until the Pandemic is over. The list of 7 purchase orders was presented with no comment. Pay Request #1 was submitted for Woodruff & Sons for the work completed on the Striebel Arm Ditch Project in the amount of $205,382.77 less retainage of $10,269.14, totaling $195,113.63. Mr. Behrendt approved Pay Request #1. Change Order #1 was also submitted for Woodruff & Sons for additional pipe and guard rail removal and replacement in the Striebel Arm Ditch Project. Mr. Behrendt approved signing Change Order #1. There was no further business to be discussed. Due to the uncertainty as to when this Pandemic crisis will be over, the Board President will determine when we will resume normal meetings.
