The Feasibility Study (authorized by Council) has been presented and accepted as a “basis of design” for the proposed renovations to the old library building on the municipal campus. The detailed budget estimate for the renovation (the project to include the enclosed garage) of 4.9 million dollars is also a critical component ofthe “basis of design” moving forward. ON SLIDE OUTER: Power wash and clean/sand all exterior portion of the slide. 7.) Apply 1 full lie coat Tnemec Series N69F Hi-build Epoxoline polyamidoamine epoxy to outside surfaces. 8.) Apply (2) two finish coats of Tnemec Series 1094 Series 1094 Endura-shield aliphatic acrylic poly. 9.) ON INNER SLIDE: Abrade all inner surfaces with 60 grit orbital sanders. Wash and clean off dust. 10.) If any fiberglass areas on slide are exposed and fraying-we will use fiberglass patching materials to fill defects and sand smooth. 11.) Apply 1 full tie coal Tnemec Series N69F Hi-build Epoxoline polyamidoamine epoxy to inner surfaces. 12.) Apply (2) two finish coats ofTnemec Series 1094 Seriesl094 Endura-shield aliphatic acrylic polyurethane to all inner slide surfaces. 13.) Caulk seams of inner slide. Let cure before water test. 14.) All surfaces sliall then be rinsed at 4,000 psi using an oscillating tip. Resultant surfaces shall be clean and dry and inspected to confirm that no chalk remains, All areas of localized red rust shall be prepared in accordance with SSPC-SP 1 1 “Power Tool Cleaning to Bare Metal”. All curled edges of coating shall be “feather edged” tight to the surface. Areas prepared per SSPC-SP 11 shall be spot primed with Tnemec Series 1 Omnithane aromatic MlO-Zinc urethane.. Environmental Conditions: The surface should be dry and at least 5'’ F above the dew point. Mr. McGregor Co-Sponsors: Mr. Sage, Mr. Bortolotto A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF TO DONATE FIREFIGHTING PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT NO LONGER NEEDED FOR ANY MUNICIPAL PURPOSE WHEREAS, the Middleburg Heights Fire Department is in possession of old and obsolete firefighting personal protective equipment which has little, if any, monetary value, is well over 10 years old and no longer suitable for use based on NFPA standards, and is no longer needed for any municipal purpose; and WHEREAS, the Rotary Club of Strongsville has the opportunity to make donations to underprivileged foreign countries that would benefit from firefighting personal protective equipment, such as jackets and pants; and WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the City of Middleburg Heights to donate the firefighting personal protective equipment to the Rotary Club of Strongsville. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, STATE OF OHIO, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: That this Council finds that the Fire Department of the City of Middleburg Heights has firefighting personal protective equipment, jackets and pants, which are well over 10 years old and no longer suitable for use based on NFPA standards, and are no longer needed for any municipal purpose; and further finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to dispose of such equipment by donation and transfer to the Rotary Club of Strongsville in lieu of auction or salvage. Section 2: That the Fire Chief and Director of Finance are hereby authorized to implement for donation the transfer of the equipment to the Rotary Club of Strongsville. Section 3: It is hereby found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements, including Chapter 107 of the Middleburg Heights Code and Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
