MINUTES AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT TASK FORCE SPECIAL MEETING OF JUNE 2, 2022 Present: Mayor Ben Florsheim; Majority Leader Gene Nocera; Minority Leader Phil Pessina; Rev. Robyn Anderson; Rev. Moses Harvill; Cynthia Clegg; Bobbye Knoll Peterson; Bryan Skowera; Diana Doyle; Kevin Elak; Brig Smith; Joe Fazzino 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order. 2. Public Comment None 3. New Business A. Consideration of Application from DCF of Middletown, LLC for the Rehabilitation and Repurposing of 418/422, 428, and 584 Main Street Brig Smith introduced how the working group went through the rubric for the retail/residential rehab of 418/422, 428, and 548 Main Street. DCF of Middletown, LLC asked for approximately $2.536M and the working group recommended partial funding for $2M. Dominick DeMartino shared that his budget for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC is about $140K over his original budget. He asked that the funding the Task Force recommends, be closer to the full amount that he initially requested so that his business can be successful in completing this project. Phil Pessina asked that the Task Force recommend full funding for this project because of the immense revitalization that will happen. Motion to fully fund this project was made by Phil Pessina and seconded by Gene Nocera. More discussion ensued regarding setting funding aside for later use. The motion passed unanimously with Brianna Skowera abstaining. 4. Other 5. Adjournment MOTION to adjourn made by Phil Pessina and seconded by Cynthia Clegg.
