REGULAR MEETING
March 8, 2021
Present: Kayon Morgan, Councilman Darnell Ford, Samantha Rival, Sacha Armstrong-
Crockett, Mayor Benjamin D. Florsheim, Councilman Philip Pessina, Nasharie Davis, Precious
Price, Patricia Alston, Councilwoman Jeanette Blackwell, Kirk Hart, Bobbye Knoll Peterson,
Councilman Ed Ford Jr., Viviana Conner, Stacey Barka, Valerie Light, Councilman Gene
Nocera
1. Call to Order.
Meeting was called to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
2. Public Comment.
Two people from the public attended the meeting. No comments. Motion made to close public
comment by Patricia Alston. The Motion was seconded by Sacha Armstrong-Crockett. All
members approved the Motion except Valerie Light abstained from voting due to joining the
meeting as the Motion was passed.
3. Approval of Minutes.
MOTION: Councilman Ed Ford Jr. made a MOTION to approve the minutes of the February
8, 2021 and February 22, 2021 Anti-Racism Task Force Special Meeting. The Motion was
seconded by Kayon Morgan. The Motion passed by all members in attendance except for
Councilman Darnell Ford who abstained due to not attending these two previous meetings.
4. New Business.
A. Mission Statement and Goals
B. NCCJ Report
C. Anti-Racism Task Force Retreat
D. Discussion of CRB and the Community Response Team
5. Adjournment.
MOTION to adjourn made by Viviana Conner. The MOTION was seconded by Valerie Light.
The Motion passed unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:14 p.m.
