MIDDLETOWN AREA TRANSIT Minutes for Wednesday, September 12, 2018 Meeting Thomas A. Cheeseman Transportation Center, Middletown Area Transit Maintenance Facility, 91 North Main Street, Middletown, CT 1. Call to Order - B. Lawrence called the meeting to order at 6:09pm. Board Members Present: Beverly Lawrence; James Dunn Board Members Absent: None Voting Members Excused: None Guests Present: Susan Bransfield, Portland Staff Present: Lisa Seymour; Steve Bochinski Public Present: None. 2. Roll Call – Quorum is present. 3. Public Comment - None. 4. Approval Of Minutes of Meeting 8.16.18 – J. Dunn MOVED to approve. B. Lawrence SECONDED. MOTION PASSED unanimously. 5. Administrators Report- Lisa presents administrators report. FY18 books are closed and will be sent to auditors. The FY18 audit will be completed on time this year by December 31, 2018. DOT is still closed for payments. We will have to use credit line if not open soon. TOD from DOT was received on Friday. 6. FY18 yearend financials - L. Seymour presents financial report. The deficit went from $406903 in FY17 to $55,031 in FY18 which was due to an overpayment on the credit line. Fixed Route was under budget by $200,000 which was due to credit line repayment with Middletown Fixed Route local share while the other services of ADA and Rural were over budget due to changes not being implemented until the end of winter. Lawrence SECONDED. MOTION PASSED unanimously. 8. Operations Report- L. Seymour presents operation report. J. Dunn MOVED to approve. B. Lawrence SECONDED. MOTION PASSED unanimously. 9. Old Business - None. 11. New Business – New runs have been developed but haven’t gone to public hearing yet. Will do in November. B. Lawrence MOVED to adjourn. J Dunn SECONDED.
