Minutes of the Meeting Monday, December 16, 2019 6:00 p.m. Room B-19, Municipal Building 245 deKoven Drive MCA: Music Subcommittee Present: Barbara Arafeh, Domenique Thornton, Anne-Marie Cannata McEwen and Neely Bruce, Also present, Kisha Michael 1. Call to Order: 6:00 p.m. 2. Public Session – none in attendance 3. Approval of Minutes for 4-30-2019 – passed unanimously 4. Chairs report – Arafeh read from a memo: Effective 11-4-2019 Middlesex Historical Society can be reached by appointment only. Maria Weinberger has stepped down from her position and Deborah Shapiro will be temporarily filling in. Discussion was held on the topic. 5. Old Business - Historic music exhibit at Middletown Historical Society-new developments - A motion was made by McEwen to reach out to the Historical Society and find out the status of our musical exhibit project. Motion was passed unanimously. 6. New Business - Music Ambassador – K. Michael, Staff reported of the inception of the music ambassador project as started by Stephan Allison and the Mayor since 2014. Now the recommendations process has been passed to the Music Subcommittee of the MCA. Discussion ensued. A motion to recommend Noah Baerman, The House of Moses and Carolyn Halsted as possible candidates for Music Ambassador was made by Neely Bruce and passed unanimously. 7.
